Éric Lacan: Beautiful Decay

9 September - 7 October 2017
Overview

In 2017, Eric Lacan took private anatomic drawing lessons and rose up to new challenges in his cutout as well as pictorial approach.

The exhibition Beautiful Decay is the result of three years of intensive work. It features about forty paintings on canvas, mixed media on wood, paper cutouts and drawings on papers.

In 2017, Eric Lacan took private anatomic drawing lessons and rose up to new challenges in his cutout as well as pictorial approach. He now dedicates himself to textures and materials like lace, feathers, animal hairs etc. Viewers can only be seduced by his sleeping fox and will be thrilled to discover a new sensual dimension of his work. A sensuality balanced by a creative power generated by compositions and juxtapositions of details that will bring viewers on an initiatory journey they cannot but relish.
