Andrew Hem: Fragmentz

Working in gouache, oil and acrylic, Andrew Hem depicts dreamlike scenes evoking ancient or legendary Cambodian history, or showing landscapes between city and nature, composed around one or several characters. The artist seems to retranscribe, within scenes of lush colours, moments suspended between memories and dreams. With a very accomplished technical mastery, his work is part of a new contemporary painting trend with surrealist accents. The Galerie Chenus Longhi is very proud to present Andrew Hem's work for the first time in France with the exhibition Fragmentz. This exhibition presents a brand new series of paintings on canvas by the artist, a selection of watercolours on paper from his travel diaries and a mural.
