Éric Lacan: Seventeen Seconds

6 - 17 April 2013
Overview

In the early 2010s, Éric Lacan began to develop a body of work in his studio that already seemed to have all the qualities of a finished work. Seventeen Seconds — a reference to The Cure's famous album — is Éric Lacan's very first gallery exhibition. Rich and protean, the exhibition presents a coherent body of work ranging from painting to cut paper, linocuts, drawings and ceramics. Seventeen Seconds is a revelation to both the informed and the uninitiated, as well as to a wide circle of contemporary art collectors. A few months later, Agnès b. confirmed the gallery's intuition and included this new artistic revelation in the line up of its group exhibition Paris, Graffiti - État des Lieux.
